5 Ways to get into a meditative state of being

Your mind is a powerful thing, and mediation has SO many benefits for the mind, body and soul. Mediation can look different for everyone. Merriman-Webster's definition of Mediation is as follows: "1: to engage in contemplation or reflection. 2: to engage in mental exercise (such as concentration on one's breathing or repetition of a mantra) for the purpose of reaching a heightened level of spiritual awareness 3: to focus one's thoughts on 4: reflect on or ponder over: to plan or project in the mind." To me, meditation is like getting in "the zone". My Abraham Hicks friends would call it "the vortex". So, what exactly is "the zone"? We all have a zone, usually it comes through when we do something we enjoy, and allows our thoughts to flow freely without judgement; that feeling of joy in the soul, peace in the mind, simultaneously. I personally believe that there are many different layers of mediation; from full-on astral projecting, to jammin' out in your bedroom, to ritual bathing, or simply closing your eyes in easy-pose on the yoga mat. Here are five ways that I personally use to get into a meditative state, or "zone", I hope they help you as much as they have helped me. :)
